Today’s card featuring the Your Presents Stamp Set, is another Christmas card that I taught my recent Stamp-a-Stack Class. This stamp coordinated really well with the lovely Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum from the Holiday Catalogue.
This first card is cased from the Holiday Catalogue. You can see it on page 32.
The second card features the red vellum paper from the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum.
Here are both cards:
One thing to be aware of when adhering vellum, is that you can see the adhesive through the vellum, so I had to be careful where I placed the adhesive when I put this card together. Rather than putting Fast Fuse Adhesive around the edge of my piece of vellum, I put it in the middle, behind the Whisper White cardstock that has been stamped with the present.
Glue dots are a great way to adhere the ribbon onto the card. If you have never used them before, you should try them. They are great for adhering buttons, ribbon etc.
I also used the Whisper White A4 Thicker cardstock for my card base. It is best to score the fold of the card, and then crease it with a bone folder. If you try to fold it in half it without scoring first, it tends to be a bit messy and not create a clean fold.
Remember, that Your Presents stamp set can also be used for occasions other than Christmas. It would be a great stamp to use for making a birthday card.
