This Flip-flap card has a wow factor! At first it looks like a normal card with some ornaments on the front, but when you pull the tag on the right-hand side, the front part opens to show you the message inside.
This flip-flap card features the Brightly Christmas Suite. The Christmas Gleaming stamp set has two different shaped ornaments and two coordinating punches to go with them. The punches are called the Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack. I love the way punches make cutting out a stamped image so easy!
Another product in the suite is the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper has some lovely copper foil accents on one side of the paper. This paper is then complimented with the copper foil border and the copper embossed ornaments, both visible on the front of the flip-flap piece.
The ornaments, once heat embossed, have been coloured with an Aqua Painter. The ornaments include three of the colours featured in the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper are Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock and Mossy Meadow. This week on Thursday, I will give you some tips on how to use Aqua Painters.
Product ListThis card was taught to me and other demonstrators at a team demonstrator only event recently. It’s enjoyable attending these events and getting inspiration. This card was designed by Paula Reid. I have made a few slight changes to her original card and also changed the measurements to metric.
If you would like to know how to make this card, I have a few options available. One way is to contact me to arrange a private class for you and your friends. I can also teach you another card at the class. If you are unable to attend a class, I have a tutorial available as an online video class along with a Retiform Technique card (which was the other card that we made in my September class). Click here to find out more about the class.
This flip-flap card may look challenging, but if you take it step by step, you will find that it isn’t too hard to make!
