One Sheet Wonder is a technique using one sheet of 12″ x 12″ patterned paper along with some coordinating coloured cardstock to make a set of cards! In my case, I used two different pieces of 6″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper [DSP] which is the equivalent of one piece of DSP. The advantage of using two pieces of 6″ x 12″ is that it gives you four different paper designs to use, rather than just two. Here are 11 cards featuring the DSP! Aren’t they amazing? Simple but stunning!
To make the cards I used the Painted Poppies DSP. I love the bright colours and designs of the this paper.
The coloured cardstock I used for the card bases included Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss, Poppy Parade, and Thick Whisper White cardstock. I also used a standard sheet of Whisper White cardstock for the sentiments and pieces to mount the DSP to.
I was taught how to make these cards in a special online class for demonstrators by Shannon West who is a Demonstrator Development Manager based in the United States. It was a fun way to take part in a class to learn how to make the One Sheet Wonder cards.
Here are close ups of the cards I made:
The Painted Poppies DSP will be retiring on 2nd June 2020. If you really like this paper, make sure you purchase it now before it’s gone for good!
Would you like to learn how to make the One Sheet Wonder cards too? I am looking at offering this as an online class. I would include all the measurements, supplies, along with a video showing you how to cut up the DSP and make the cards. I would also show you some ways that you could step up the cards to give them that extra wow factor! If you are interested in learning how to make these cards, please email me to let me know.
