Today I will share with you the Flip Flap Card that I made for my daughter, Amanda, for her 10th birthday. It was her birthday yesterday.
My daughter likes pink so I decided to use Blushing Bride as one of the main colours. She also likes pandas so I decided to use Basic Black cardstock with the card too as I would be stamping the pandas in black ink. The Party Panda stamp set which I used has since retired, It was available in a previous Sale-A-Bration.
I thought a piece of the Blushing Bride Love You Always Specialty Designer Series Paper would work well for this card. It has lovely elegant patterns with foil accents and makes for a nice background.
On the front flap of the card I had “Happy 10th Birthday”. This was made from a stamp and die set that has retired. The “10” is cut from the Large Number Framelits dies and the other words from the Number of Years stamp set. I have kept the stamp and die set as I find them very useful. If you would like a card with numbers or letters on them, the Playful Alphabet dies are a current die set that works well for this and they aren’t too big.
When you pull on the pink flap on the right-hand side, the flap opens and you can see the stamped panda image with the balloon. I still had room inside my card to write my message.
The flip flap card makes for an interesting and special card. I have made other similar cards before and you may like to check them out.
