Last weekend I had an enjoyable time at Stamp Camp 2021, which was held in Rotorua. It was hosted by Jacque Williams, my team leader. It was for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who are part of the Creative Inkers Team. There were about 62 of us there from all over the North Island.
The camp started at 7pm on Friday night and went through until lunchtime on Sunday. It was a weekend with lots of crafting! We got to see lots of creations made with some of the different suites from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue. A few Demonstrators who are part of the team volunteered to be presenters. They showed us lots of amazing creations that they had made featuring the suite that they chose to present. They created a card and made kits so that we were able to make a project using that suite too. It was lots of fun and it was wonderful to be able to use some of the products that we don’t personally own to make a lovely card.
These are the people who presented and what suite they shared:
Sylvia Patterson presented the Dandy Garden Suite
Jan Clothier presented the Sand & Sea Suite
Jacque Williams presented the Hydrangea Haven Suite
Karen Hadler presented the Simply Succulents Suite
Tee Jay Horrell presented the Love You Always Suite
Here are the four cards we made.
We also made a gift bag with the Simply Succulents Suite.
On Saturday morning we had a live Zoom call from Sara Douglas, who is the CEO of Stampin’ Up! It was so nice that she made time to meet with us online! She shared about herself and Stampin’ Up! with us and then offered to answer questions that Demonstrators may have.
Emma Parkin-Wilson, who is the Demonstrator Development Manager for New Zealand and Queensland, Australia came, spent the weekend with us, and shared too.
Over the weekend, in the hall there were displays that we could look at to inspire us. Each of us were encouraged to bring something or a few things that we had made to put on display to share with each other.
During the weekend we also had the opportunity to make thank you cards which were gifted to a charity – the Burn Foundation.
And of course there was time to catch up with other Demonstrators we already knew, meet new ones, and make new friends. We are very fortunate that here in New Zealand we can meet together more freely than in other countries.
Overall it was a wonderful weekend! Even though we went from Alert Level 1 to Level 2 on Sunday morning in Rotorua, we were able to finish camp.
If you think you would like to attend a wonderful event like Stamp Camp 2021 or another wonderful team event, please join my team as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and then you too can come and attend events like this.
