Today I am going to share how to make a delicate bow to go onto your creations. You will see one on this card which I made at my Coffee & Cards class earlier this month. You may not recognise the ribbon in the catalogue, so I will share how I created this delicate bow.
I love the five new In Colors; Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia. They come in a lovely 1cm open weave ribbon. I have used this ribbon on many projects that feature the 2021-2023 In Colors, but sometimes I need a more delicate ribbon for a bow.
When I made some note cards at Coffee & Cards at the beginning of the month, I wanted to add a bow to it, but the 1cm open weave ribbon in the coordinating colour just looked too much on it! Then I remembered a way to make it into a more delicate bow.
I learned this tip from my team leader. It involves cutting the ribbon down the middle so that you have two narrow pieces of ribbon. Nice and delicate!
