The other weekend I had my monthly weekend class. The class members all enjoyed making two cards using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and they learnt some tips and tricks along the way. I also taught them a technique showing them how to achieve a shadow stamping effect with a stamped image. Here is a simple card I made with this technique using one of the stamps from the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.
Here is a tutorial on how to create a shadow stamping effect:
1) Ink your stamp with white Pigment ink and stamp onto coloured card.
2) Clean the stamp. Ink the stamp with coloured ink and stamp onto the Stamp-a-ma-jig imaging sheet, lining the stamp block up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
3) Place the image sheet of the Stamp-a-ma-jig on top of your white stamped image so it lines up exactly. Move the image sheet slightly to one side.
4) Remove the image sheet and stamp with your coloured ink, lining your stamp block with the Stamp-a-ma-jig so you stamp on top of the previous white stamp image, although it will be slightly to one side to create that shadow effect. This is what it should look like.
