The Cup of Tea Pop Up Slider Card was the card that Sylvia and I taught at the Auckland Extravaganza earlier this month. At first it looks like an ordinary card, but then when you open the slider part, it is a card with that wow factor!
This card features three of the new In Colors – Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet, and Parakeet Party.
I didn’t want the background pattern on the Orchid Oasis cardstock too dark which may have happened if I stamped it in the same colour ink as the cardstock, so instead we stamped in VersaMark ink.
The opening of the pop up slider card is cut out with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies, but it is only cut on three sides. We also used the small Stitched Rectangle die to cut out the sentiment “Hello” from the Forever Ferns stamp set. The die is longer, so we cut it twice to make it shorter.
We placed a piece of the Adhesive Sheet on the back of a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock before we cut out the detailed layer tea cup. Then, when you need to adhere it, you pull off the back layer covering the Adhesive Sheet and it makes adhering it to the full shaped tea cup much easier.
Here are the supplies that I used for the pop up slider card.
We also made this card in a different colour scheme, featuring Tahitian Tide.
If you would like to make this card, we have some kits in Tahitian Tide left over which are available for purchase. The kits include the die-cut pieces. However, as per Stampin’ Up! policy, we can not include any pre-stamping with the kit. You would need to provided your own Cup of Tea stamp set, or improvise and use things already in your supplies. You will also receive instructions, including measurements, so you can recreate this card if you wish. The cost for the kit and instructions is $10, plus $3 postage if necessary. If you would like to purchase this kit, please contact me.
Thanks for stopping by. I will be sharing the other Extravaganza projects over the next few days, so please stop by again.
