Aspen Tree Dies Watercolour Card

This Aspen Tree Dies Watercolour card was a card that I taught at my December classes. It features the Aspen Tree dies from the Perched in a Tree bundle. The background behind the trees was coloured using watercolouring. I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper for this.

The piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock which was adhered directly to the card base has been dry embossed with the Pretty Flowers embossing folder. On top of this I placed the watercolour background piece. I cut out the tree die-cut, crumpled up the cardstock and then opened it out and coloured it lightly with Crumb Cake ink using a Blending Brush. It is optional to crumple and sponge it. This piece was then added to the card front.

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. This is a great stamp set to have as it has a variety of sentiments including the Thank You, Congratulations, With Deepest Sympathy, etc sentiments. The Happy Birthday sentiment was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder and was cut out with the Deckled Rectangles Dies. It was adhered with Dimensionals with some Gold Simply Elegant Trim behind it.

This card was not an original idea. It was inspired by my team leader, Jacque Williams. It makes a great neutral card and is suitable as a masculine one.

I hope you liked the Aspen Tree Dies Watercolour card.
