The SIP technique is simple stamping and involves stamps, ink and paper. I have used this technique with the Seaside Bay stamp set. Simple stamping and blending is a great way to create a simple yet effective card. The card on the right is a stepped up version with some Linen Thread added for texture.
These cards were what I taught at my Coffee & Cards sessions in April at the Vero Café. They are note cards.
I have blended ink on the background using the Blending Brushes. I used Crumb Cake ink for the sand and Balmy Blue ink for the sky. The shells and sands were also stamped using Crumb Cake ink. The birds were stamped with Soft Suede ink, which has now retired, but another brown ink, slight darker than Crumb Cake, would work for this.
In the top right I have stamped the sentiment using Early Espresso ink. The stamp set I used was Shaded Summer, which has now retired. You can use any sentiment stamp set that you like.
For the card on the left, I have only used the SIP technique: stamp, ink and papers. For the card on the right, I have also added some Linen Thread to give some texture to the card.
To finish the card off, I adhered the stamped piece to a piece of Soft Suede cardstock in order to frame it. I then adhered it to the Note Card base.
Here are the supplies I used to make this card.

Have you tried the SIP technique before? If not, why not give it a go?
