Simple Masculine Card Designs with Country Woods DSP

By | 8 September 2025

Do you sometimes struggle to create masculine cards? You’re not alone! Masculine card designs can be tricky, especially when most of our craft supplies lean towards florals, bright colours, and embellishments. In this week’s live, I shared simple masculine card designs with Country Woods Designer Series Paper—perfect for Father’s Day, birthdays, or any occasion where a neutral and timeless style is best.

Why Simple Masculine Card Designs Work

The beauty of these designs is their simplicity. Using neutral tones like Crumb Cake, Misty Moonlight, Early Espresso, and woodgrain patterns instantly gives a masculine feel without needing lots of layers or fussy techniques.

I featured Stampin’ Up!’s Country Woods Designer Series Paper, which has a mix of rustic woodgrain and neutral patterns. The paper does most of the work for you, so you can keep the rest of the card clean and stylish. A bold sentiment, a touch of sponging, and a little twine or linen thread complete the look.

These designs are versatile—you can use them for Father’s Day, birthdays, thank you cards, or just a simple “thinking of you” note for the men in your life.

Stepping Up Your Masculine Card Designs

In the live, I showed two versions of these cards:

  • Simple Note Cards – using Designer Series Paper banners, sponged backgrounds, and sentiment punches. Quick to make and perfect for Coffee & Cards.
  • Stepped-Up Cards – adding dry embossing with the Forever Plaid folder and layering on full-size card bases like Early Espresso or Misty Moonlight. A subtle embossed background makes the design pop while still keeping it masculine and understated.

It’s easy to adapt the same design—simply swap out the Designer Series Paper, change your card base colour, or step it up with embossing or extra details.

Masculine Cards Made Easy

The key to creating masculine cards is choosing neutral papers, earthy colours, and simple layouts. You don’t need complicated images—woodgrain textures, clean banners, and thoughtful sentiments do the job beautifully.

By keeping these ideas in mind, you’ll always have masculine card inspiration ready for Father’s Day, birthdays, or any other occasion.
