Elegant cards made easy with the Brushed with Beauty Suite
In this week’s Facebook and YouTube live, I featured the Brushed with Beauty Suite, one of Stampin’ Up!’s latest Online Exclusives. It’s a stunning collection that combines soft florals, subtle patterns, and warm earthy tones — perfect for creating elegant cards without overcomplicating your design.

The Brushed with Beauty Suite includes two stamp and die bundles — Petals of Beauty and Words of Beauty — along with coordinating Designer Series Paper, the Beautifully Patterned Embossing Folder, and Pearls of Beauty embellishments. These products work beautifully together for both simple and more layered card designs.
Embossed backgrounds for subtle texture
For the card I created live, I paired Basic Beige, Early Espresso, and Calypso Coral for a warm, classic combination. The embossed layer added just the right amount of texture without overpowering the floral strip.
The Beautifully Patterned Embossing Folder gives a soft background that enhances the overall design. A touch of gold ribbon and a simple sentiment from Words of Beauty completed the look.
If you enjoy working with texture but prefer a clean layout, this design is an excellent one to try. You could easily adapt it with other papers, colours, or sentiments to suit any occasion.
Here are a few variations I made:
Calypso Coral with Flower Panel:
For this first card, I made the feature panel 5cm x 12cm and then for the cards after that, I decided to make it less.

Calypso Coral:
This card has a narrow feature panel of 4.5cm x 12cm

Darling Duckling & Basic Beige:
For this card I inked around the edge of the sentiment with Early Espresso ink.

Card Measurements
• Card base: 21 cm × 14.8 cm, scored at 10.5 cm
• Mat layer: 10 cm × 14.3 cm
• Embossed layer: 9.7 cm × 14 cm
• DSP panel: 4.2 cm × 11.7 cm
• Matting of DSP panel: 4.5 cm × 12 cm
• Sentiment panel: Sized to suit your chosen greeting

Try this layout yourself
I challenged my Creative Stampers team to make a card using this same layout, and I encourage you to do the same using supplies you already have. Please share a photo of your creation — I’d love to see what you come up with!
After creating this card, I realised I’d designed a similar sketch a couple of years ago. The earlier version used patterned paper for the background instead of embossing, and the measurements of the panel piece were slightly different. Check out that earlier post for comparison:
