If you’re looking for an easy handmade gift, this Quick No Adhesive Treat Holder is such a fun project to try. It was the focus of this week’s Facebook and YouTube live, and it’s amazing what you can create with just a sheet of 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and a few score lines. No glue or tape at all—just folding and tucking to form two roomy pockets.

As we move towards Christmas, projects like this are wonderful for quick gifting, but the design also works beautifully for birthdays, thank-you treats, teacher gifts, or any time you want to give a small, thoughtful handmade present. I’ll include the video tutorial below so you can see exactly how it comes together.
Quick No Adhesive Treat Holder for all-year gifting
What I love about this Quick No Adhesive Treat Holder is how versatile it is. The pockets easily fit drink sachets, tea bags, skincare samples, small chocolates, or even a mini set of note cards and envelopes. Both sides of the Designer Series Paper show, so it’s a lovely way to highlight your favourite patterns.
Measurements:
DSP is 12″ x 12″
Score at 2″, 5-3/4″, 6-1/4″, and 10″.
Rotate your paper 90° and score at 2-1/2″ and 8-1/4″.
Decorating the front:
The construction itself is fairly easy to put together because it doesn’t require any adhesive. Once the base is folded, it’s completely up to you how simple or detailed you want the front decoration to be. You’ll see in my sample that I used the Branching Out Dies, paired with a fussy-cut image from the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper. That paper has now sold out, but you can use any non-directional DSP you have on hand. I added some soft sponging around the die-cut layer, a touch of ribbon, and a few embellishments to finish it off.
This project is suitable for beginners, classes, craft fairs, and anyone wanting quick handmade gifts.
I’ll share photos below of the completed treat holders so you can see the finished look.
Here is the one I made before my Live. This one has drink sachets in it. You could also had some small wrapper chocolate squares. If you find the sachets are sliding out, just hold them in place with a Mini Glue Dot.

Here is the one I made during the Live. This has note cards in it.

Which design do you prefer? Would you put in yours when you make them? Please comment and let me know.
Watch the video to learn the fold
I encourage you to watch the video to see how I made it. I’ll walk through how to choose the right DSP (especially designs that aren’t obviously directional), how to score without cracking the paper, and how to fold everything so it sits neatly. You’ll see how the pockets form, how the spine folds, and how the top flap tucks closed. You’ll also see how I decorated the front using dies, DSP images, and embellishments.
Here are the supplies I used.
