Stampin’ Positioner Live: How This New Tool Makes Stamping Easier

By | 7 February 2026

The Stampin’ Positioner is an exciting new tool that I’ve really enjoyed trying out, and in this week’s Facebook and YouTube live (5th February 2026) I shared a closer look at how it works and how it can make stamping much easier. I’ve included the video replay in this post so you can watch it when it suits.

Stampin' Positioner

I was able to pre-order the Stampin’ Positioner last month as a demonstrator, one of the lovely perks of being a demo, and I wanted to show it in action so you could see what it does and decide if it’s something that would suit your crafting style.

If you’ve ever struggled with lining up a stamp, especially a larger one, or wished you could re-stamp an image without starting again, this tool is well worth a look.

Why the Stampin’ Positioner Is So Helpful

One of the biggest advantages of the Stampin’ Positioner is how it takes the pressure out of stamping.

If you’re using a large stamp, you don’t have to hold a big, heavy block and struggle to line it up where you want it. Instead, you can position the stamp on the stamp plate, check the placement, ink it up, and then press down when you’re ready. Everything stays where it should be.

Because the stamp comes straight down and back up again, you don’t rock the stamp as you might when stamping by hand. That means you avoid getting extra ink around the edges and end up with a much cleaner image.

If your first impression is a little light, you can simply ink it up again and stamp in exactly the same place. No guessing and no frustration.

Repeated Stamping Made Simple

I also demonstrated repeated stamping using the Stampin’ Positioner, which is where this tool really shines.

Stampin' Positioner, repeated stamping

On the birthday cards I shared, I stamped “happy birthday” multiple times down the card front with even spacing. Being able to move the plate rather than the paper makes this process so much easier and more accurate.

The “happy birthday” sentiment I used is from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set, which was the January Product of the Month and is still available at the moment. It’s a great stamp set for this type of design because the sentiments are bold, versatile, and work beautifully for repeated stamping.

This technique is perfect for simple card designs that still look polished and well thought out.

Adding Interest With Shadow Stamping

I also showed a little shadow stamping during the live. This is where you stamp once, then shift the card slightly and stamp again without re-inking. I have used the big leaf stamp from the Nature’s Symphony stamp set.

Because the Stampin’ Positioner keeps your original placement set, it’s much easier to control where that second impression lands. It’s a subtle effect, but it adds interest without needing extra layers or embellishments.

If you’d like to see how the Stampin’ Positioner works and how these cards came together, you can watch the full replay below.

After the live, I noticed the Stampin’ Positioner was oriented the opposite way to the instructions. Everything demonstrated still works, but the holes are shown on the left-hand side in the instructions. I did feel at times that the smaller plate was the wrong way around, which now makes sense, and it’s possible a left-handed stamper may find that orientation easier.

How You Can Get the Stampin’ Positioner

At the moment, the Stampin’ Positioner isn’t available to purchase on its own. It is currently available as part of the Stampin’ Up! joining offer.

When you join as a demonstrator, the starter kit costs $189 and you get to choose $285 worth of products. On top of that, you receive the Stampin’ Positioner free, valued at $103, with no shipping costs on your starter kit.

It will be available to purchase later, but we don’t yet know when. This live was really about showing how it works so you can decide if it’s something that would be useful for you.

If you’d like to see the Stampin’ Positioner in action and watch these techniques step by step, I encourage you to watch the replay of the live – shown above. Seeing it demonstrated makes such a difference.
