Auckland Christmas Extravaganza 2018 – Part Two

By | 24 November 2018

Did you get to see the project my team and I taught at the Auckland Christmas Extravaganza?  It’s a Christmas ornament with a New Zealand summer there.

Today I have two more projects to share with you.   The first card features the faux mother of pearl technique.

Joyous Noel, Christmas Extravaganza 2018

To create the faux mother of pearl look, Shimmer Paint and cling wrap was used!  The faux mother of pearl piece is the top panel beneath the Noel sentiment.  The Joyous Noel Suite also features a lot on this card with the Joyous Noel Specialty Paper, Joyous Noel Glimmer paper, Sprig punch, as well as the Peaceful Noel stamp set.  As the Designer Series Paper has bronze/copper in it, the Copper Shimmer Paint has been used.  Copper emboss powder and Copper Foil Sheets have also been used on this card.

Another card made at the Auckland Christmas Extravaganza is this Dashing Deer card.

Dashing Deer, Christmas Extravaganza 2018

This card features Gold Foil paper, Dashing Deer stamp set with the coordinating Detailed Deer Thinlits dies as well as the Merry Christmas Thinlits dies.  The Corrugated Dynamic Embossing Folder looks very cool in the background.  Other embellishments have been used to.  These include Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon, Metallics Sequins, Festive Farmhouse Cotton Twine.  The putty end of the Take You Pick tool is a great way to adhere the sequins to the card.

Here is the inside of the card:

Here are some of the products used in the above projects.

Product List

Attending the Auckland Christmas Extravaganza gave the guests that came a chance to play with different stamp sets, dies and other products from the Holiday catalogue. It also enabled them to make wonderful creations using the products. Coming to an Extravaganza event gives everyone a chance to try new products and see what you like before you buy!  And of course, make some lovely creations. Perhaps you would like to join one of these events next year.

If you missed seeing the first project that I shared about that we made at the Extravaganza, you can check it out here.  It was a Pizza Box Christmas Ornament.

I will share the final two Extravaganza projects over the next day or so.  I hope you will come back and visit soon.
