I love the new Beautiful You stamp set and new Stampin’ Up! new watercolor/watercolour pencils. Here is a simple Note Card using both these products. This is one of the cards my guests were able to make at my Open Home Event last weekend.
First I stamped the image and sentiment in Archival Black Ink onto the front of a Note Card. I heat set it with the Heat Tool before watercolouring it. I then roughly coloured the image with new Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. I then used a Blender Pen to blend the colour.
Here are some of the wonderful creations my guests came up with.
The Watercolor Pencils are a pack of 13 pencils and include these Stampin’ Up! colours: Basic Black, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White.
I used Blender Pens to colour because I used the Note Cards. If you wish to colour with the Aqua Painters then you would need to uses either Shimmery White Cardstock or Watercolor Paper.
There are lots of other things you can do with this stamp set like paper piecing.
Tip: Here is a tip for storing the Watercolor Pencils. The pencils fit well into the Standard Stamp Cases. Keep the cardboard box, cut off the front and back piece and adhere inside the case so you can refer to it.
