Here is a butterfly birthday card and self-closing gift box that I made for my niece’s 17th birthday. She loves butterflies, so I thought the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and coordinating Butterflies Thinlits Dies would be perfect to make something for her.
It may be difficult to see in the photo, but both butterflies have the Clear Wink of Stella on them, so they have a nice sparkle to them.
The stamp set I have used is Butterfly Basics. This is one of the very few stamp sets that is available in wood, clear mount, and photopolymer. You can also get it as a bundle with 15% off. This includes the butterfly die I used on the card. This bundle is also available in wood, clear mount, and photopolymer.
The butterfly die I used on the gift box is a die from another butterfly die set called Bold Butterflies Framelits Dies and it compliments the other butterfly dies. It has the outline of the butterfly which I used on the card front and it is the butterfly I used at the top of the box.
Here is the inside of the card:
The card has a nice surprise inside with the Happy Birthday pop-up which is created with the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies, as well as a couple of stamped butterflies.
