Card & Coordinating Gift Box For A Music Teacher

By | 22 April 2016

Last week I wanted to make a card and gift box for my son’s drum teacher who was leaving. I didn’t have any musical stamps, so I made use of some musical Designer Series Paper I had, and some punch art.

This is what I made:

Musical Corner Fold Card & Self Closing Gift Box

Here is a close up of the  card.  It is often difficult to know what to put on a card for a male, so I decided to make this corner fold card, featuring the musical Designer Series Paper and with a musical note on it.

Here is the Self-Closing Gift box.

The Self-Closing Gift Box is very easy to make, once you know how and when you have the right tools.  I made it using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, a ruler, Trio Corner Punch, two pieces of DSP and some adhesive, and then I decorated it with a stamped sentiment. It is a lovely box to put some chocolates or something small for someone.

Supplies:

Stamp sets: Tag Talk, Express Yourself (Retired)

Ink: Black Archival Ink

Paper & Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Modern Medley (Retired)

Other: Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Stampin’ Trimmer, Curvy Corner Trio Punch, Label Bracket Punch, Washi Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Ruler (non SU), Dimensionals

Do you like to make coordinating cards and gift boxes like this corner fold card and self-closing gift box?  Please feel free to share your creations with me.  I would love to see them.

Sorry I didn’t see this before. I know you asked about this quite a while ago. Are you still interested in how to make these? I don’t have a specific tutorial on how to make these with this paper, but I do have a tutorial for the corner fold card and the self -closing box, with measurements etc. These projects are something I teach in a class, so I don’t offer the tutorials for free as otherwise it is unfair to those who paid to do the class. If you are interested in purchasing the tutorial, please email me at angela@stampwithangela.co.nz
