Do you love making handmade cards for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions? The Cake Celebrations stamp set is a fantastic choice for creating fun and elegant designs that suit a variety of events! In this week’s Facebook and YouTube Live, I shared how to use this versatile set to make quick and easy cards, as well as stepped-up versions with die-cut elements and embossing.
Why You’ll Love the Cake Celebrations Stamp Set
The Cake Celebrations stamp set is part of Stampin’ Up!’s Online Exclusives, which means you won’t find it in a catalogue—only in the online store. This set is perfect for:
✔ Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and celebrations
✔ Layering and customising your cake designs
✔ Simple stamping or more advanced techniques
With interchangeable cake layers, candles, florals, and elegant sentiments, you can create beautifully coordinated cards in no time.
Simple Stamping for a Quick & Easy Card
If you’re short on time but still want to make a handmade card, a simple stamped design is the way to go! In my Live session, I created a sweet note card-sized birthday card using just stamps and ink.

💡 Tip: When stamping the cake stand and cake layers, slightly overlap them to avoid a floating effect.
For my colour combination, I used:
🎨 Bubble Bath for a soft pink cake base
🎨 Petunia Pop for the details and sentiment
🎨 Smoky Slate for the cake stand
It’s amazing how just two or three ink colours can create depth and dimension!
Here is a slightly stepped version with a Petunia Pop cardstock mat.

Stepping It Up with Die Cuts & Embossing
Want to add a little extra flair? I also shared a stepped-up version of the card, featuring:
✨ A stitched circle die-cut for the cake
✨ Embossed background using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder
✨ Die-cut flowers and leaves for extra detail

I played around with colour combinations and loved how Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight worked for a cheerful wedding card, while Petunia Pop and Bubble Bath created a bold and vibrant birthday look.

Which Card is Your Favourite?
During the Live, I showcased three finished designs:
1️⃣ Pink & White Birthday Card – Petunia Pop with subtle layering
2️⃣ Celebrate Card with Lemon Lolly – A bright and fun design
3️⃣ Elegant Wedding Card – A classic white-on-white look
Each one brings a different feel, making this stamp set incredibly versatile!
Which colour combination do you like best? Let me know in the comments!
