The Daffodil Daydream bundle is a lovely set from the January – June 2022 Mini Catalogue featuring daffodils. This is one of the cards that those who came to my Open Home event last month were able to make.
The white panel in the middle of the card is embossed with the Stripes folder from the Stripes and Splatter 3D Embossing Folder pack. I then adhered it onto a slightly larger piece of Daffodil Delight. Here’s a great tip to help you be more economical with your cardstock. Before I adhered them together, I punched out my label from the Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Label Me Fancy punch. Once the Basic White piece is adhered onto it, you would never know I had cut a piece out of it.
On a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the daffodils with Black StazOn ink. I used the StazOn ink so it wouldn’t run when I coloured it with the Watercolor Pencils. I used Daffodil Delight and Old Olive pencils to colour it. I then used my Blender Pen to blend the pencils and soften the colouring. I cut the flower image out with the coordinating Daffodil die and adhered it with Dimensionals.
Next I stamped the sentiment in black ink on the pre-cut label and adhered it with Dimensionals. You could use Memento Black ink as there is no colouring or blending to be done. I used the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the stamp set, but you could use “Happy Birthday” or another sentiment. Lastly I added the black bow. You could also stamp the sentiment on a piece of Basic White card and frame it with the Daffodil Delight label. To find out how to do that, click here.
