Yesterday I shared with you the red stripped and green Christmas tree vellum from the Holidays Foil Fancy Designer Vellum. Today I am going to share a card with you, made from the third sheet from this pack. The third sheet has some lovely silver snowflakes on it. I have paired this up with the Delicate Ornament Framelits Dies which are one of my favourite dies from the Holiday Catalogue. I have also used some non-traditional Christmas colours to make this card. This card is in Pacific Blue and I think it looks quite stunning with the silver.
The sentiment is stamped from the Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. If you purchase the dies and stamp set together as a bundle you save 15%. This is a great deal! See below.
Like yesterday’s card, one needs to be careful how you adhere the vellum as you don’t want it to show through. With the card below I did it a little differently to yesterday’s card. I made the vellum panel a little longer and creased it at the top and adhered it on the top back of the card. I also adhered it to the front of the card base under the sentiment so the adhesive was hidden. When I adhered the ornaments and sentiment to the card, I used Dimensionals so it lifted them up a little. You could also adhere the vellum to the card front the same way as I did yesterday’s card. The panel would then be slightly smaller than the card front, but with an even edge on all four sides. You would put adhesive underneath the ornaments and sentiment so it is hidden.
