This Diagonal Split card has some depth and style and it is different from your average card. This is the second card we made at my class on Sunday afternoon. I cased this from one of my team members, Nicolette.
Once again I have used two of my favourite colours, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. I love the depth of colour in the Berry Burst. The Lemon Lime Twist colour complements it so well.
I stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment and punched it out with the coordinating Pretty Label Punch. I then punched out a second label from the Berry Burst cardstock. I cut it in half length-ways and then adhered it so it can be seen above the top and bottom of the stamped and punched out Happy Birthday. This helps frame it. If you would like to learn how to do this, I have a video showing you how to do this with the Everyday Label Punch. With the Everyday Label Punch I matted it on the top, bottom and sides. For this Pretty Label sentiment I feel you only needed to mat it at the top and bottom.
I hadn’t purchased this stamp and die set and so I borrowed Nicolette’s, but it fast becoming one of my favourite stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue.
