The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks have been used to make these elegant flower cards. It involves four different masks to create the flowers. It may sound complicated, but it is actually easy to do. You can check out the video below to see how I created them. I had lots of fun making these cards!
The colours I used on these cards are Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, and Pecan Pie.
The masks are numbered, so I started with the first mask which colours the flowers. I used Crushed Curry and a touch of Pumpkin Pie and used a Blending Brush to apply the ink. The second mask is for the leaves, which I did in Garden Green. The third mask is the full centre of the flower, which was sponged in Crumb Cake. The final mask is for the more detailed part of the flower centre, and that was sponged in Pecan Pie.
The card on the left has a smooth finish, whereas the card on the right has been dry embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder to give it some texture. Which one do you prefer?
The sentiment was stamped and cut out with the Double Oval punch. To finish it off, I added Linen Thread and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks set comes with three other background masks too. It is great value at $22.25 NZD and is so versatile.
Here is a list of the supplies I used to make these cards.
The Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks are easy to use. The flower masks are great for the main feature of a card and there are three background masks in the set. Yesterday I shared a card featuring the leaf background mask. You can check it out here. Make sure you have some Blending Brushes on hand to apply the ink. Have fun coming up with different colour combinations to make your cards. Why not invest in some Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and have fun creating too?!
