I am having lots of fun creating bags and lovely packaging with the Gift Bag Punch Board. With it being school holidays over the last two weeks, I didn’t get to blog too much last week so I am carrying on last week’s featured product, the Gift Bag Punch Board and sharing it this week too. Last week I used Designer Series Paper to make some bags. You can check them out here. Today I am using cardstock and decorating it myself.
To make today’s bag I started with a piece Daffodil Delight cardstock that was 6″ by 10″ and scored it using the Gift Bag Punch Board to make a small bag. It then looked like this.
Make sure you remember to punch out the holes at the top before you start putting it together! I learnt the hard way. While it was still flat like in the photo above, I stamped two of the flowers from the Petite Petals Stamp Set onto the cardstock in Daffodil Delight ink to decorate my bag and give it some pattern. Then I put it together. I find Fast Fuse or the new Tear and Tape adhesive best for this. I added some ribbon to close the bag. Lastly I decorated the front with a flower stamped from the Flower Shop Stamp Set. This is still one of my favourite flower stamp sets.
Both the stamp sets I used today, Flower Shop and Petite Petals come in bundles, so if you buy the stamp set and the coordinating punch you can save 15%. This is a great deal! There are lots of great bundles like this in the new catalogue, so make sure you check them out.
