This Triple Panel Card featuring the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set was one of the cards I taught at my classes in September.
The main flower image is from the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set. It was cut out with the Fresh Cut Stem dies, which were available for a limited time in September as part of the Perfect Partners Promotion.
The flower image can be coloured in different ways. One of the ways I coloured it was with ink from a Classic Stampin’ Pad using a Water Painter. To do this I stamped the image in Tuxedo Black StazOn ink so that it wouldn’t run when mixed with the ink from the ink pad. I also used Shimmery White cardstock, which is one of the best cardstock to use when watercolouring. The other option is the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
Another way of colouring is with Stampin’ Blends. When colouring with Stampin’ Blends the image needs to be stamped in Memento ink so that the ink doesn’t bleed or run.
Behind the flower is a piece of vellum which was dry embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. I adhered it to a piece of coloured cardstock which was a contrasting colour to the card base.
The Designer Series Paper [DSP] used on the side panels is the Splendid Day DSP, which is a lovely foil paper. I had two versions of this card, depending on which DSP sheets was used. I either had the Fresh Freesia DSP on a Soft Sea Foam cardstock background, or the Soft Sea Foam DSP on a Fresh Freesia cardstock background.
The sentiment was cut out with the Label Me Fancy punch. If you would like to know how I added the coloured cardstock behind, check out this post.
Here are the supplies that I used to make this card. I love the Splendid Day DSP that I used for this card. I also really like the large coloured flower image. What is your favourite aspect of this Triple Panel Card?
