Here is the Galaxy Card that my team and I taught at the Auckland Christmas Extravaganza event on Saturday 9th November 2019. I think it is a stunning card and many people at the event thought so too!
I can’t take credit for complete design of the card. The card was cased from something we had seen on page 3 of the Holiday Catalogue. The card in the catalogue used gold and some different colours for the background. Often we get inspiration from something and we then create our own variation of it.
In our card, the five ink colours that were used in the background were Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose, Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape and Blackberry Bliss. We also used silver on the card rather than gold. I think that Blackberry Bliss and silver look very stunning together. What do you think?
The background is sponged and then spritzed with water. Once it was dry, the clusters of stars were stamped on with VersaMark and Silver Emboss Powder was added. We then heat set it.
The banners on the card were made with the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. The top part of it was cut off since it wasn’t needed.
Here is the inside of the card. It is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and it features more stamps from the So Many Stars stamp set.
There is so much to this stamp and die set, and this card only uses some of it. We also made more cards featuring this bundle, and I will share more of those cards in the next few days.
