Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums out there and also to those women who are an encouraging and positive role model to many!
Here is a special Mother’s Day card that I taught at last month’s weekend class and also to my Kids’ School Holiday Class. The butterfly and some of the other colourful stamping was done with the baby wipe technique. Everyone had fun creating their own colourful ink pad to stamp with.
They had two options for their card front. The first card has the speckled background with the texture embossed piece across the front.
The second card featured the fronds from the Butterfly Basics stamp set which will be retiring at the end of this month. I love the stamp set and have used it a lot!
The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. As it is photopolymer you can slightly bend the stamps to fit the curve of the banner. It was then cut out with the Dual Banner Punch. You can check out this video on how to curve your photopolymer stamps to fit the Duet Banner Punch.
The inside of the card was a contrast to the front of the card. Here are some variations of the inside of the card. It was also an double fold opening, so that there was a place to write your message inside the card.
And lastly, here is the final opening of the card where you write a message.
