Today, I’m excited to share with you two ways that we can use the Layers of Beauty masks to elevate your card designs.
Simple Elegance with Layers of Beauty Masks:
Let’s start with the basics. The first card showcases the stunning simplicity of the Layers of Beauty stamp set, enhanced by the use of masks to create intricate floral designs. I stamped the large image onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and then coloured it using the masks. For the rose flowers, I used a combination of Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry ink. I used a Blending Brush to carefully layer the colours to achieve depth and vibrancy. The leaves were coloured using either Granny Apple Green or Lemon Lime Twist ink in combination with Old Olive ink, adding richness and contrast to the design.
Stepping Up with Textured Backgrounds:
Now to step it up! Next, I took this design to new heights by incorporating die-cutting and textured backgrounds. I stamped and coloured the Layers of Beauty image as I did before. After colouring it, I cut it out with the coordinating die. The embossed the background, created with the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, adds a rustic touch to the design. The die-cut image was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals, creating a subtle dimensional effect. As before I added a sentiment and some bling!
