Sometimes you want to make a card, but you don’t know where to start. That is how today’s card started. I knew that I wanted to make a card using the Painted Petals stamp set, but then I wasn’t sure what to do next. My next step was deciding on what style of card to make. I decided that I wanted to make a card that was a bit different from a standard fold card so I chose to use the Circle Thinlits Die. My next dilemma was what colours to use. I looked through some Designer Series Paper that I had and chose the Best Ever Day Designer Series Paper, which is one of the free items through Sale-A-Bration. This then gave me some colours to use. You could also use the “Color Coach” for colour combination ideas too.
So in summary, this is how I came up with my card idea:
1) I decided on a stamp set to use
2) I chose the style of card I wanted to make – eg standard card or unique folding card
3) I chose some Designer Series Paper which gave me the colours to work with.
