Today’s card features the new In Colors with the Leaf Collection background stamp. This is a wonderful large stamp that will feature in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue. When I was at OnStage, our demonstrator event, last month, I received this stamp set for free! It was a prize for all attendees. It is always nice to win or get something for free!
I wanted to use the In Colors with this stamp set but I wondered how I could do that when all the images are on one large stamp. In the end, I decided to stamp it three times, each with a different In Color, then cut up the pieces and mix and match them.
I started with a piece of 9cm x 13.8cm Basic White cardstock. I inked the stamp while it was on the table facing up. I placed my cardstock on top and covered it with a scrap of paper and rubbed my hand over it, being careful not to move it, to get an even pressure. When I stamped the other two colours, I made sure I put my piece of Basic White cardstock in the same place as best I could. I then cut the pieces into 3cm side strips and mixed and matched them so they had three strips of different colours. For most of the cards, I lined up the stamped images so the images matched, but I did also try mixing them up. Which way would you do prefer? Do you like things in order or do you not mind mixing them up?
The colours I used were Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink ,Petunia Pop, Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash. They are all the new 2024-2026 In Colors.
I can’t yet share a link to the products in my online store that I used to make this card, as some of them aren’t available yet.
I used the Heartfelt Hexagon punch to cut out my sentiment, but I also re-punched it, so the shape was a bit smaller. I also matted it with some cardstock around the edge. I also punched that out with the same punch, but I had to trim it to make it fit. Behind the sentiment is some of the coordinating Bordered Ribbon. Again, I used an In Color for this.
