Masculine Sailing Home Retiform Technique Card

By | 1 October 2019

By using the retiform technique, you won’t need many products in order to make an impressive card. This card uses stamp, inks, cardstock and a sponge along with some Post-it Notes and scrap paper for masking.

Retiform Technique Sailing Home Card

The retiform technique can be used with all sorts of different stamps sets. It needs to be a stamp set that has a variety of stamps in it. The Sailing Home stamp set creates a wonderful masculine card.

Different areas of the card are masked off and sponged. Then the same areas are masked again and different stamps are stamped in each area. Just a word of warning – you may get ink all over your fingers!

This technique does take a bit of practice to get right at first, and you may not like your first attempt. I started a card and didn’t quite like it, so I started it again. Once you get the hang of it, and learn some tricks along the way, you will find it quick and easy to do.
