More Layers of Beauty Mask Card Designs Revealed!

By | 3 June 2024

Today, I have some more cards to share with you featuring the Layers of Beauty bundle, which includes masks, stamps, and dies. Yesterday, I shared two cards: one simple design and one stepped-up version with added texture and dimension. If you missed out on seeing them, you can see them here.

Here are some new variations on yesterday’s creations.

Exploring New Designs with Layers of Beauty

Building on the techniques from yesterday’s post, these new cards further showcase the versatility and creativity that the Layers of Beauty bundle offers. These new designs are similar to the stepped-up version shared yesterday but are landscape in orientation instead of portrait. By using different colour combinations with the masking, I achieved some stunning variations in the floral designs. Each card also features a linen thread bow and is embellished with the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems, adding a touch of elegance and sparkle.

For all three cards that I am featuring today, I coloured the rose flowers in some form of pink, while the other smaller flowers in a contrasting colour like Peach Pie or Daffodil Delight. The meant the masking was more involved, but it was possible with the help of some Post-It notes to mask off the areas I didn’t want to accidentally get ink on. If you missed out on seeing the video I shared yesterday, check it out as the second part shows you how to do this.

Pretty In Pink & Petunia Pop Roses with Contrasting Peach Pie Dainty Flowers:

This first card has the roses coloured with Pretty in Pink and Petunia Pop ink, along with Peach Pie ink for the small flowers. I have used the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder for the background like I did on yesterday’s card. The matted cardstock is Petunia Pop.

Pretty In Pink & Petunia Pop Roses with Contrasting Three Toned Dainty Flowers:

The second card has the similar colouring as the card above, but the small flowers are in Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry ink and Peach Pie. This time I have used the Eyelet 3D embossing folder for the textured background.

Pretty in Pink Flowers with Contrasting Daffodil Delight & Peach Pie Dainty Flowers:

For the third card, the roses are lighter in colour as I have used Pretty in Pink and the matted cardstock is also Pretty in Pink. The dainty flowers are a combination of Daffodil Delight and Peach Pie ink, but somehow I forgot to ink the centre of them. I realised this after I had taken the photo. I could leave them as they are or add some bling, like a Rhinestone, to the centre of them if I wished. The is a nice subtle creation.

Here are the supplies I used to make these cards.

Creating these cards was a delightful experience, showing how subtle changes can create new variations. The Layers of Beauty bundle truly offers endless possibilities for creativity and personalisation in your card making projects.
