Today I am sharing the Faux Shutter Card. This is also known a Fractured Card. I have used the Notes of Nature bundle which consists of a stamp set and dies to make this card. You can all use Designer Series Paper for your card.
I stamped my background first, then adhered by centre piece (5.5cm x 5.5cm) to the middle of it so it was a diamond shape. After that I started with one side and adhere the strip of cardstock which is the same colour as the card base, to the edge of the centre piece and worked by way around the diamond. I then turned it over and cut off any excess. I adhered the piece to the card base. I stamped and die-cut my centre pieces and then adhered them to centre.
Metric Measurements for Faux Shutter Card
Here are the measurements for the card:
Card base 21cm x 14.85cm. scored at 10.5cm
Front piece 14.3cm x 10cm
Centre piece 5.5cm x 5.5cm
Four strips of cardstock, same colour as the card base 7mm x 14.85cm
It is quite an easy card to make and with so many possibilities. You can use all sorts of stamp sets, colours and papers and you could get quite different results.
I will share a YouTube video on how to make it once I have recorded the Live today.
