Today’s card features this week’s stamp set, Painted Petals and some self-designed Designer Series Paper.
This card, like yesterday’s cards, was also inspired by samples I saw in the Occasions catalogue, but since I didn’t have the Designer Series Paper in Daffodil Delight to use with it, I decided to create my own. I used the three line stamp from the Painted Petals stamp set to create the stripped background. Below is a photo of the background I created. The lines didn’t stretch across the full width of the card so I had to stamp twice for each row. I made sure the joins were in different places. You can notice the joins a bit below, but once it is on the card with all the extra bits, you hardly even notice them.
Here is a slight variation to the card. I then stepped it up a little more by adding some white cotton twine.

Would you like to learn some new techniques? If so, I have some classes coming up. I have one this coming weekend on Sunday afternoon. I will also be repeating this class on a week day – on the morning of Friday 20th March. Check out my class calendar for more details about both of these classes.
Thanks for visiting. Come back tomorrow for my final creation this week using the Painted Petals stamp set.
Oooh I do like that Angela – great job! The blackberry bliss works beautifully with it. I hope you’ll have this one at Extravaganza to display.
