This Peek A Boo Card features the Dragonfly Garden stamp set along with the Flower and Fields Designer Series Paper [DSP].
The design of the card has the circle hole on the front allowing the dragonfly to peek through. The dragonfly has been stamped on the inside Basic White piece as well as on a piece of vellum. The vellum dragonfly was cut out with the Dragonfly punch. Both dragonflies were coloured with Stampin’ Blends. I used Daffodil Delight as it is one of the subtle colours in the DSP.
When I stamped the dragonfly on the vellum, I used StazOn ink. I did this because the vellum is a slippery surface and normal ink would just smudge and possibly not dry properly. However, if you are colouring with Stampin’ Blends, you should stamp with Memento ink, but this was not possible here. So the two inks didn’t’ mix, I coloured on the back of the dragonfly so the Blends. Then I adhered the body part of the vellum dragonfly to the stamped one inside the card. This allowed the wings to lift up.
The card base is Pool Party cardstock which is one of the colours in the Flower & Fields DSP which features on the front of the card. This DSP is a Sale-A-Bration item that will only be available until 28th February 2021. If you would like this paper, then make sure you place an order of $110 or more by 28th February and you can choose this as your free Sale-A-Bration item.
The inside of the card has a Basic White piece that opens up on the right-hand side so that the piece where you write your message is not visible until the inside part is opened up.
Here is another card of the same layout, but with a different DSP design from the Flower & Fields DSP. I used Shaded Spruce cardstock for the card base on this card as it is one of the colours featured on this piece of DSP.
