Yesterday morning I went to Life Church on the North Shore with two fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators and we taught some of the Year 7-9 youth to make some cards for them to give away as their church Love week. They made two Thank You cards and two Christmas cards which they are going to “pay it forward” and give to others. For many of the youth, it was their first time to do some stamping and create cards like this.
Here is a sample of one of the Christmas cards we made featuring the Festival of Trees Stamp Set.
They had fun stamping the trees and punching them out with the tree punch as well as using other stamps and punches. Many of them followed our sample card and made it like the one above. Others were quite creative and came up with their own variations with what the paper, twine and other bits that were in their kit, as well as using the stamps and punches available. We didn’t have a lot of time, so they did well to make four cards in about 40 minutes.
It was nice to be able to volunteer our time, be part of what the church is doing to bless others, as well as share our love of paper crafting.
Have a great day.
