Creating beautiful cards doesn’t have to be complicated. This month at Coffee and Cards, we made some quick and easy note cards featuring the stunning Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. These papers alone can create captivating cards with minimal effort.
To make these cards, I cut a piece of 6” x 6” DSP in half, so I could make two cards per sheet. It was then too long for the card, so I had to trim the top or bottom to get the size I wanted. The length of the DSP was 11.7cm.
I stamped my sentiment directly onto this piece of DSP. However, if the sentiment doesn’t quite stamp as you wish, you can stamp it onto a scrap piece of DSP and then adhere it over the sentiment that didn’t look so good, and no one will notice!
Here are some cards where the sentiment was added afterwards.
Once I had stamped my sentiment, I adhered the piece of DSP to a piece of coloured cardstock that complemented the colours of the papers. This piece was 8 cm x 12 cm. Once these two pieces were adhered together, I tied some twine, thread, or ribbon around it and tied a bow. This was then adhered to an 8.3cm x 12.3cm piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock before it was adhered to the note card.
To finish off the card, I added some embellishments too. It could be the Self-Adhesive Dragonflies, Birds, or some rhinestones or gems of some kind.
There are so many beautiful papers in the Thoughtful Journey set incorporating a range of colours, so all the cards can look quite different.

Here are the supplies I used.
Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post, where I’ll share another card using the same paper with a bit of a step up. Happy crafting!
