If you’re short on time but still want to make something beautiful and handmade, quick & simple cards with ephemera packs are the way to go. In a recent Facebook and YouTube live, I shared how to make a whole set of charming cards using just note cards, glue, and a couple of ephemera packs from Stampin’ Up!

Why Ephemera Packs Are a Must-Have
Ephemera packs are brilliant if you’re after quick wins or you’re just getting into cardmaking. These packs are filled with pre-printed, pre-cut images and sentiments—no stamping or die cutting needed. They’re especially handy if you don’t have a lot of supplies or simply want to create without too much fuss.
Two of my current favourites are:
Greetings for All – packed with a wide variety of sentiments like “Happy Birthday”, “Thinking of You”, “Congratulations”, and more.

Spring Celebrations – perfect for Easter or any nature-themed cards, with sweet birds, butterflies, floral branches, and nests.

A Look at the Cards I Created
Below are some of the cards I shared in the live. As you’ll see, the ephemera elements do all the work. You can add a bit of colour with Watercolor Pencils, pop things up with Stampin’ Dimensionals, or simply adhere them straight on.
A sweet “Happy Birthday” card using a coloured branch and bird from the Spring Celebrations pack.

A soft and delicate “Thinking of You” card, layered with subtle floral die cuts and butterflies.

Quick and bold with orange butterflies and a striking “Thanks” sentiment.

This one features a lovely nest, some eggs, and a cheerful butterfly—great for spring greetings.

One of my favourites—this wreath design frames the sentiment perfectly.

You can see how easy it is to create a variety of designs, all from just a couple of packs.

Final Thoughts
These cards are an example that you don’t need a mountain of supplies or a full afternoon to enjoy crafting. Whether you’re making a birthday card, a thank you note, or just something to say “hello”, ephemera packs make it easy and fun.
If you haven’t given them a try yet, I highly recommend popping a pack or two in with your next order—they’re a great way to boost your stash and get crafting quickly.
