Here are some reindeer candy cane treats that I made for my piano students and some of my daughter’s friends at school. They are cute and easy to make. Sorry I am a little behind in sharing some of my Christmas creations. It may be too late for you to make some for this year, but if you like this idea, you can save it somewhere, ready for next year. Sorry I can’t remember where I first saw these to give credit to them.
Here is a close up of one of the reindeer. It was made using the Simply Scored and Envelope Punch Board.
This is how I made them:
- Cut your card stock 5½” x 6″.
- On the 5½” side score at 1¼”, 2½”, 3¾” and 5″.
- On the 6″ side score at 1¼” both ends.
- Use your Envelope Punch Board to punch on one end of the 5½” side score lines (like for Christmas Crackers/Bon Bons).
- At the other end, cut on the score lines up to the 1¼” score line.
- For the eyes, I have used googly eyes, but you could use the Owl Builder Punch. For the nose, I used red enamel dots. Draw a mouth with a White Chalk Pen.
- Die up with some ribbon. I used Silver and Gold Cording Trim.
- Place the candy canes inside. I used a Glue Dot to keep them in place.
