Customer Spotlight: Hillary Bishop from Oamaru, New Zealand

1) How long have you been paper crafting for?
I used to scrapbook back in the 1990s but took a break as we built a new house and never really got back into it. In lockdown in 2020 I thought about beginning scrapbooking again, but then In August 2020 I happened upon a cardmaking YouTube video and I got hooked. I watched heaps of videos and then I started buying (I haven’t stopped yet LOL). I am loving card making so much my husband made me a she-shed so I can create whenever I like! I’m so lucky that I’m retired and can spend heaps of time having fun.

2) What is your favourite Stampin’ Up! stamp set?
In Bloom Bundle

3) What is your favourite Stampin’ Up! colour or colour combination?
Night of Navy, Gorgeous Grape and Seaside Spray.

4) What is your favourite type of paper crafting project or technique?
Card making. I have ideas in my head and just go for it. Sometimes I take inspiration from other crafters.

5) What is your best crafting tip for your fellow paper crafters?
Don’t be afraid to try something. It may, or may not work out but it’s a learning curve and an addition to your skills is always a plus.

Here is a photo of Hillary’s favourite card. She has made a variation of this card many times and it remains a favourite.

Thank you Hillary for sharing with us today about yourself and your retirement creativity. The card you have made is beautiful! Blue is my favourite colour, so it definitely appeals to me. It is a lovely layout and I can see how you could have made lots of card in this style.
