Do you sometimes need a quick and easy handmade card? This week I shared a simple DSP card with More Messages sentiments in my Facebook and YouTube Live, and it’s a design you’ll want to try for yourself.

Why I Love the More Messages Stamp Set
The More Messages stamp set is a great one—it’s a large stamp filled with a whole range of greetings. You stamp once, then cut them all out in one go with the coordinating die. In minutes, you have a whole stash of ready-to-go sentiments for different occasions. Perfect for when you need a last-minute card or if you enjoy building up a collection of greetings to keep on hand.

You can stamp them in ink, emboss them for extra shine, or even try them in different colours to match your card. It’s a real time saver!
Creating a Simple Card with DSP and Embossed Cardstock
For this project, I paired the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP) with a piece of coordinating cardstock. I created two slightly different designs, each with a coloured cardstock panel on the left that I embossed.
In the first version, I used Two-Tone cardstock and gently sanded the raised image so that the white core of the cardstock showed through. This gave a lovely textured look.

In the second version, I left the embossed cardstock as it was for a slightly more subtle background.

The Timid Tiger cards were my prepared samples, which you can see here in the photos above. During the live session, I switched things up by using a different sheet of DSP and adding Strawberry Slush cardstock instead. It’s amazing how a change in colour and paper gives a whole new feel to the design.
