This week on my Facebook and YouTube Live, I shared some lovely handmade cards featuring the Beautiful Butterfly stamp set. I showcased two different techniques: Simple Stamping and the Baby Wipe Technique. If you missed it, you can catch the replay below.

Simple Stamping with the S.I.P. Technique
The first set of cards focused on the S.I.P. technique—Stamp, Ink, and Paper/Cardstock. This approach keeps things clean and simple, with no added ribbon or embellishments. I chose to keep it monochromatic, highlighting the elegance of a single colour.
The first card was done in Boho Blue, bringing a soft and serene look:

To take it a step further, I added a layered design, incorporating White Woven Ribbon and some embellishments to elevate the look while maintaining simplicity.

During my live session, I recreated the design using Petunia Pop, giving it a vibrant and fresh feel:

Baby Wipe Technique: Creating Custom Ink Pads
For the second set of cards, I demonstrated the Baby Wipe Technique—a fun and colourful way to create unique stamped images.
How does it work?
- Take a few layers of baby wipes and place them on a non-porous surface.
- Add many drops of ink refill in about three to four colours to create a custom ink pad.
- Press your stamp onto the baby wipe and then onto your cardstock for a stunning multicolour effect.
In the live session, I used Boho Blue, Pool Party, Petunia Pop and Fresh Freesia.
This method results in gorgeous, colourful butterflies with a beautifully blended effect. Just like with the first set, I created one simple version with just stamp, ink, and paper, and another stepped-up version with ribbon and embellishments. Here are the supplies I used.

Here are some other cards I made with the colours, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Berry Burst and Flirty Flamingo. It turned out with a more rustic look. Quite different from what I was expecting. Here are the supplies I used.

Have You Tried the Baby Wipe Technique?
If you have ink refills, also known as re-inkers, this is such a fun and easy way to create your own custom ink pads. It’s a great way to add unique, blended colours to your stamping projects.
Have you tried this technique before? Let me know in the comments! And if you give it a go, I’d love to see your creations. Feel free to share them with me or tag me on Facebook or Instagram.
