These cards feature a sponged leaf background created with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks.
The background is created with the leaf mask. It is like a stencil. I adhered my piece of Basic White cardstock to my grid paper and then placed the mask on top. I taped this down so it wouldn’t move while I coloured it with ink.
I started at the top and worked my way down. I first used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and, then, Copper Clay to create an autumn look with the leaves. I used Blending Brushes to apply the ink.
I created two different finishes for the card. For the card on the right, I left it with the smooth finish. If you look carefully enough, you will notice that the card on the left has a textured surface to it. After I coloured the leaves, I put it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder and this gave it a nice textured finish. Which look do you prefer?
I mounted the leaf piece onto a slightly bigger piece of Copper Clay cardstock and then added some Copper Clay Jute twine. This twine is quite thick, so I untwisted it to make it thinner. The card is adhered to a Thick Basic White card base.
The sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set and was cut out with a small circle from the Stylish Shapes dies. Lastly, I added some Copper Clay In Color Dots.
Here are the supplies I used to make this card.

I am having lots of fun with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and I enjoyed creating this sponged leaf background. Why not give it a go too?
