This Sweet Cupcake shaker card was one of the cards I taught at my monthly weekend class yesterday. I have three samples to share and the cards got progressively better as I tried some new things each time.
The card above was the first one I made. It is on a Flirty Flamingo cardstock base. I used the Confetti Embossing Folder as a background.
For the second card, I added another layer behind the Whisper White cardstock to help it stand out. This mat is in Bermuda Bay cardstock. I also added some Wink of Stella to the cupcake before I added the confetti. The confetti was made using the Star Confetti Border Punch and is great for a shaker card. In hindsight, I would have added some more, but once the window part is sealed closed, you can’t add anymore! For this card, when I cut the icing part out, I had to make sure it was lower down, so I had enough room at the top for the candle.
For the third and final card I added some sponging around the edge of the Whisper White piece and onto some of the texture embossed edge. This card is matted onto Pool Party cardstock. This time as well as adding some Wink of Stella to the icing on my cupcake, I adhered a few of the confetti stars too. So when it was standing it, you could still see them and they don’t all drop to the bottom.
