Over 12 years ago, I thought I was just getting a discount on my favourite craft supplies. What I didn’t expect was how this little decision would open doors to creativity, connection, and opportunities I never imagined.
From Hobby to Something More
At the time, I was a stay-at-home mum looking for a creative outlet. I loved making cards and had a passion for crafting, but I never thought about turning it into anything more. I joined Stampin’ Up! for the savings, thinking it was just a smart way to support my hobby. But then, something unexpected happened. I found a community—people who shared my love of crafting, who inspired me to try new things, and who became friends beyond just paper and ink. I discovered new techniques, gained confidence in sharing my creativity, and even started hosting small workshops. What started as a simple way to save money became a rewarding part of my life.
And the best part? You don’t have to do it the way I did. People from all walks of life become demonstrators for different reasons. Some join just for the discount, some love the idea of sharing creativity with others, and some even turn it into a thriving business. There’s no one-size-fits-all path—just the opportunity to make it your own.
