Today’s tips are how you can get the best out of your Stampin’ Trimmer. I use mine all the time for cutting cardstock and Designer Series Paper (DSP) for my own creations and for classes.
My top two tips for using the Stampin’ Trimmer are:
- When you are cutting, sometimes cut downwards and other times cut upwards. By doing this, you will get double the life of the blade.
- Make sure you clean out the track grove regularly as if there are small paper particles in there, it will prevent you from getting a clean cut. Sometimes you can just blow it out. Other times you may need to use a soft brush or even your Paper Piercing Tool if you gently glide it along the track.
What are some other great features about the Stampin’ Trimmer?
- Full 30.5 x 30.5 cm (12″x 12″) cut or score
- One cutting and one scoring blade included
- Extra-wide, 15.9 cm (6 1/4″) cutting base for most projects; 36.5 cm (just over 14″) extendable ruler for large projects
- Metric and imperial measurements along the top and bottom ruler. Metric measurements along the vertical ruler.
- Point on cutting handle for precise measuring
- Ruler and grid protected by durable plastic cover
- Right-side grid for cutting thin strips
- Includes storage compartments for Bone Folders, spare cutting blades and more
If you are new stamping, and you don’t yet have something for cutting and measuring your cardstock and DSP, then I highly recommend the Stampin’ Trimmer. If you already have a cutting tool and you aren’t happy with it, then why don’t you try the Stampin’ Tool.
If you would like to purchase the Stampin’ Trimmer or any other Stampin’ Up! products, and you don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to be your Demonstrator. The Stampin’ Trimmer is a must have for all paper-crafters. I hope today’s two tips have helped you get even better use out of your Stampin’ Trimmer.
