Two-Step Stamping Pretty Florals Card Ideas

By | 30 June 2025

In last week’s Facebook and YouTube live on Thursday 26th June, I focused on two-step stamping using the Pretty Florals bundle. I shared how you can make both a simple card and a stepped-up version with extra layers, tips, and techniques to inspire your own cardmaking. Here’s a look at what we created.

Simple Note Card

Here are two note cards I created. One using Strawberry Slush and one is Timid Tiger. It was kept quick and simple, perfect for when you need a card in a hurry. These were also one of the cards I taught at Coffee & Cards earlier this month.

Stepped-Up Card with Extra Details

Then I shared a stepped-up card. I had one already made in Strawberry Slush and during the live I made one in Timid Tiger. These are both new In Colors. These cards feature the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper in the background, a coloured cardstock base, and a rectangle die-cut from the Textured Notes Dies for the stamped image. Adding these extra layers and elements really takes the card to the next level.

Here’s a closer look at each card. Which one is your favourite?

Tips and Reminders

I also shared how to stamp the detailed image first, then layer the solid image with second-generation stamping for a softer look. Remember, embellishments can always help cover little smudges!

Here are the supplies I used for the simple note cards, and the supplies for the stepped up cards. You can check out the live video replay below to see exactly how I made them.
