Here is a unique handmade 100th birthday card that I made for Evelyn Lumsden. She is a lady I don’t personally know, but as a keen card maker, when I heard about this lady receiving about 50 of the same card for her 100th birthday, I was happy to make her a unique and special 100th birthday card. A fellow Demonstrator saw the article on Stuff about her receiving so many of the same card and asked if there would be any other Demonstrators keen to make her a unique handmade card. So a group of us from the Creative Inkers team made some cards and sent them to her.
Here is the card I made
The colours I have used are Blushing Bride and Old Olive, with a little So Saffron. These are the colours in the Designer Series Paper so I based my card around that. It is now a retired paper, but one I really liked. I textured embossed the card base with the Petal Burst embossing folder. The flower is made with the Big Shot and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. I also used the Large Number Framelits Dies for the 100. I find these die so useful for a birthday or milestone occasion. You can stamp them first and then cut them out with the dies, or do what I did here and just cut the out of the cardstock.
Here you can read the article written about Mrs Lumsden here and see her with cards which are all the same!
