The Whimsical Swing Opening Gift Card Holder was another card that was part of the Online Christmas Extravaganza. The card on the left in the image below, which features a bird from the Happy Holly-Day stamp set, was the planned card for the event. With the event having to be online, everyone who made the card got to choose which stamp set they wanted to use, depending on what stamp sets they had available. I chose the baubles from the Stars are Shining stamp set.
This card features the Merry Melody Embossing Folder on the right-hand side of the card front. One thing that I like to do when using this embossing folder is to make sure that the musical notes are the right way up. As a pianist and piano teacher, I don’t like it when I see musical notes upside down. If you have trouble figuring out which way the music should go, check out this post.
This card is a gift card holder but with a twist! The middle front piece of the card swings up and opens so that you can put a gift card inside. In the photo below you can see how the front piece opens up for the gift card. The silver and white triangle piece in the corner is what holds the gift card in place.
Then you open the card fully and have room inside to write your Christmas message.
The papers used for this card are the Whimsy and Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper. They were so popular, but are unfortunately retiring and have already sold out. When you see something you like, it is best to get it straight away so that you don’t miss out.
I hope you liked learning about the Swing Opening Gift Card Holder.
