Today’s card is made by guest blogger, Patricia Lough. It features three stamp sets. The first is a new stamp set from the Annual Catalogue, Nothing’s Better Than. The second is Painted Poppies which came out in the January to May Mini Catalogue and continued into the Annual Catalogue. The final stamp set is Beautiful You, which has now retired.
The colours of the card are very striking, Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. The card also features the masking technique. The lady has been stamped first, covered over with a Post-it Note of the same size and shape, then the Painted Poppies have been stamped over the top. When the Post-it Note is removed it looks like the flowers are in the background and the lady is in the foreground. Here is another card featuring the masking technique.
